O Magnum Mysterium

O magnum mysterium,
et admirabile sacramentum,
ut animalia viderent Dominum natum,
jacentem in praesepio.
Natum vidimus
Et choros angelorum.
O Beata Virgo, cujus viscera
meruerunt portare
Dominum Jesum Christum.
Alleluia.

O great mystery,
and wondrous sacrament,
that animals should see the Lord born,
lying in a manger.
We [also] see the new&ndash&born child
And chorus of angels.
O blessed virgin, whose womb
was worthy to bear
the Lord, Jesus Christ.
