
Michael D. Mendoza (b.1944) is the Director of Choral Activities at The College of New Jersey
in Ewing, New Jersey where he conducts the TCNJ Chorale and the Hillwood
Singers. He also teaches undergraduate and graduate Choral Conducting and Music
Education courses for the secondary level. Dr. Mendoza taught at the Cherry Creek
High School in Englewood, Colorado for thirteen years, and he is listed in Who's Who
Among Hispanic Americans. He is a frequent adjudicator and guest conductor in New
Jersey and Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree in voice
from the University of Denver, a Master of Music degree from Pacific Lutheran
University in Tacoma, W A, and an A. Mus. D. degree in Conducting from the University
of Arizona (Tucson) where he studied with Dr. Maurice Skones and Dr. Howard
Skinner.
