Joan Catoni Conlon

Joan Catoni Conlon is Director of Graduate Choral Research. Before coming to CU, Dr. Conlon was Professor of Choral Music and Conducting for the University of Washington and Conductor of the Pacific Northwest Chamber Chorus. A noted scholar of choral music, she has published numerous choral editions in her areas of research and performance interests, which include the music of Georg Phillip Telemann and Claudio Monteverdi. She is active as a guest conductor, presenter, editor, and arranger. Dr. Conlon has chaired the Research and Publications Committee of the American Choral Directors Association. On two sabbaticals, she studied Hindustani classical vocal music in India. She received her BA, MA, and DMA degrees from the University of Washington.
