David Hill is in his 28th year of teaching and in his eighth year at Lake Jackson Intermediate School. David taught at a number of schools before coming to Lake Jackson growing successful programs at every step. During his time at Lake Jackson every choir he directed has won an award at UIL contest every year.
He has been writing and arranging music since high school and his works have enjoyed many public performances. He particularly enjoys writing for junior high students. He has spent most of his working life with that age group and has loved every minute of it.
David graduated in 1982 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Southwestern University. He appreciates the guidance and lessons learned at the hand of Dr. Kenneth Shepherd. He received a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1986.
